With few opportunities to play soccer during the winter, most soccer players are forced to hang up their boots. Project Freestyle decided to change that.

Today, Freestyle launched Freestyle Oosterbaan in Ann Arbor, Michigan. While other winter soccer programs are too expensive and the seasons are too short, Freestyle Oosterbaan is a free winter-long pickup league for Freestyle users hosted at the University of Michigan’s Oosterbaan Field House, the indoor sports facility used exclusively by the University’s varsity teams.

For the first time ever, regular players have access to a state-of-the-art training facility.. and all for free. This is an opportunity for Freestyle to give back to the soccer community, by providing a place to play some pick-up soccer, while also bringing together soccer players of all backgrounds. Freestyle is devoted to uniting the soccer community and hopes that this is the first of many similar events.
