Soccer is known famously as the world’s game, representing the largest and most passionate sports population on Earth. But even with so many members, the soccer world has no sense of real community. There is a great divide in the soccer world between fans, players, and coaches and among the different playing levels. Rarely do we see fans interact with club players or professional coaches interact with recreational players. This is because there is nothing out there that brings together these different groups and caters to all their needs… until now.

Project Freestyle
Project Freestyle’s mission is to unite the soccer world at large by promoting soccer. Freestyle wants soccer to become a part of every community; for people to get together and enjoy soccer more, thus furthering the spirit of the game and creating a fresh worldwide soccer culture, both on and offline. The website serves as an online extension to and organizational tool for this global community. It’s meant to be used to organize groups (ex: meetups, pickup groups, teams, leagues), communicate with others, and tap into this global soccer community.

The Freestyle Captains
Captains are individuals who are dedicated to Freestyle’s mission of promoting soccer and want to change the world. They are the people in their communities who get involved, spread the word, and take action to promote soccer whether its playing pickup, organizing meetups or volunteering in outreach programs.

The Captains are vital to reaching Freestyle’s goal because without them, Freestyle simply could not do it. They are the individuals that Freestyle will look to first for everything, such as trying out new gear, appearing in commercials, testing new features, and much more. Freestyle works closely with the Captains in everything it does. With their help, Freestyle is able to go into communities and put on events. In return for their hard work, Captains get a few perks and incentives.
